Well I've been having this crappy ass misfire for a long time now and now it seems to be getting worse. The misfire is a lot worse when the engine is cold. I have replaced the tps, cam sensor, and ecu to no avail. I'm leaning towards crank sensor but my ecu is throwing no codes for anything.

Also, is there a seal in the head behind the cam sensor? I'm not talking about the little o ring on the sensor, I'm talking about in the head itself. Is it another cam seal or something because oil is leaking out and onto the cam sensor which is another suspect to my misfire.

The misfire happens the most when cruising with light throttle and the intake temps can jump up to as much as 225! As soon as i give it more gas and some boost the temps drop back down to the 125 range. I'm stumped right now. Help me out guys.

a quick thing I would try, is putting your stock coil pack back on and seeing if that helps..(quick and easy, if you don't have a mulitimeter to test the msd coil pack)
From experience I've had my crap out on me before. I'm not saying its the complete answer, but I would bet its a strong possibility, and you could rule it out pretty easy, if not.

I tend to agree with RAnd on this one, i ve heard of some cases where fuel is the bad guy, but dont quote me on that. But yeh alot of times the coil pack doesnt throw a code....... So yeh!:thumb:

seems like you've done everything EXCEPT testing the actual coil take it to autozone to get checked i recently had this happened and the coil was the culprit take rands advice on this one ive heard nothing but bad things about msd coils

Haha that should be easy since I'm a manager at autozone so I guess I'll just test it tomorrow or something.

You're a manager and you haven't tested anything but instead just keep throwin new parts at it?

Good luck with your test.

Because the MSD coil pack is almost brand new as well as the wires plus my other ecu took a dump which is why I got a new one but I'll check the pack tonight and let you know what I find. I also needed a new tps because at full throttle it only read 29%.
