i have been having issues with the flex plate on my car breaking so i have been searching for a way to get rid of the flewplate all together. I searched around and the closest thing i have been able to find is a flywheel from a dodge neon 94-95 it has the right bolt patterns to bolt up to the crank, i think i would need longer bolts but i am wondering if this flywheel could bolt up to my spec stage 3 clutch in place of the flywheel that came with it. This all sounds sort of rediculous but its the second flexplate ive broken and i dont want to break another one. thanks guys and replies are appreciated.

i thought the modular clutch assemblies are not serviceable? i had a neon with a modular clutch and the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel were in a single assembly.

i thought so too but mine came apart with an allen wrench? so im not sure what to think anymore

and i guess 94-95 neon has a nonmodular set up as well and i want that FLYWHEEL! i am not going to take my transmission out again its happened too much...

To use the neon flexplate, you would have to use a non-modular clutch. But whats more important here is what is making your flexplate fail. I'd be more concerned with whats making them fail, because with a non-modular clutch not alighned properly your problem could escalate in a hurry.
Just my opinion, but the clutch your using now, you said that it bolted together with allen screws. My guess is that your clutch is not proberly balanced or at some point it was taken apart and during reassembly is was not bolted together the same way as it was taken apart. When you go to pull it again look for alignment marks by the allen bolts, or along the outer case.

That clutch is by no means light, and if its got some wobble it could cause the plate to crack or brake apart, not to mention destroy the input shaft, bearings, and seals on you trans.
