i was just wondering if anyone knew a safe boosting psi for running stock injectors, but upgraded fp, and a vortech smfu. And MSnS for tuning.

Also is the safc2 still useable for tuning if u have a MSnS system aswell.
 
Why would you want the SAFC2 if you have MSnS?

MSnS will be far more advanced than the SAFC2 when tuning. Also if you decide to go MSnS, as far as I know, you will not use a FMU or SFMU.

Stock injectors + FMU/SFMU + Upgraded Fuel Pump = 8 psi MAX

This has been covered numerous times, try a search next time as well.

Exactly. Besides, With MSnS installed, your ECU is no longer connected to the injectors. What's the SAFC supposed to be doing?

You did good with this post. Really good, but everyone should keep in mind that you just can't go throwing PSI around like it means dick without knowing what turbocharger you're considering. What happens if he bolts up a GT40R and puts 8psi to that bi***? ;)

Just a friendly reminder to all my 2GNT brothers and sisters out there. When discussing boost numbers, always be sure to make mention of what turbocharger you are considering. Discussing pressure without considering volume is potentially deadly to your engines! By always specifying your turbo when asking about boost pressures, you ensure that you get the best answers.

Aside from the obvious MSnS/SAFC goof, you are dead right. I'm an all motor guy and even I have known, for years, how much boost you can run safely on stock injectors with the HRC 16G (10cm^2) turbo.

this fpr from aero is this good as compared to a vortchsmfu

Aside from the obvious MSnS/SAFC goof, you are dead right. I'm an all motor guy and even I have known, for years, how much boost you can run safely on stock injectors with the HRC 16G (10cm^2) turbo.

I just want to know what i can run with stock injectors and a fpr or a vortch, will have a walbro and complete howell 2.2 stroker kit, various other upgrades to..

that would be some power, if he could get that thing to spool up before redline!

on a more serious note, focker, they have pretty much answered your questions. Read over what total eclipse said; you want some hard numbers as to what boost is safe to run for your personal setup. Your profile has not info about the current turbo that you plan to run so there isn't much more they can tell you...

Just do a search like they suggested and you'll find exactly what your looking for. I'd provide links but once again we don't know your turbo setup...

But this is the setup im goin with,havent filled in my profile yet because i don't have her quite together yet so i show u.

that turbo i have the 2.2stroker kit 8.6 comp long rods, head is fullly ported/polished , with stage 3 cams, 255fp, and want to have a daily driving 350whp, and plan on keeping stock injectors for the mean time, and getting the MSnS and a wideband 02.
 
Well if you're getting a wideband, you can do a few runs slowly raising the boost to see where your stock injectors will let you go. Most likely you're gonna wanna keep it under 8psi on that turbo.

Out of curiosity, why after spending all this money are you wanting to not drop another $75-$200 for some bigger injectors? If I remember correctly, you can get a set of 8 ford green tops (440's) for $150, sell the other 4 and you only spent $75

I know that eventually i will need bigger injectors to reach my goal of 350whp daily driven, But will problly run outta money if i got everthing i need right now, And also i have to set money aside for dyno time.

So i will be ok with a fuel set up consisting of a walbro fp, and a MSnS.
Or will i need a fpr or a fmu to go with my fuel set-up.

Also do these green tops fit in the stock fuel rail?

So i go with 8psi at the start to break everything in and when i have appropiate fuel supply i can up the boost or should i go boostless for the breakin period?
