ok i have this problem i hope you guys can help....im only running six lbs of boost and when my car hits like 5 and a half to 6 rpms it starts poping and wont go higher....also my rpm gauge acts like its losing power ### it will twitch back and forth for a second....the car idles fine and runs fine till those rpms im lost ### help
 
you are running supreme gas (min octane of 91)?

is your fuel cut defender working? or missing link?

Do you have any check engine codes that you haven't checked?

Can you boost at all? Does this hesitation happen at 6psi, or while you're transitioning into boost (~0psi-1psi)? Do you have a ML/FCD at all right now?
 
No detonation yet, and don't jynx yourself, LOL. Just sounds like tuning issues, believe me when I say you'll know when detonation occurs, learned that hard way...

btw, update your profile so we can help you out better... although, rand and paul know their shiiieet ^.^
 
Okay, do this: Start the car and drive it for 15 minutes. Try not getting on it, just let the motor get hot. Stop and come to an idle somewhere. Pop the hood, get out of the car, and have a buddy rev to 2500-3000 for you. NOW, if it IS pre-detonation, you will hear something like a metal ball rattling VERY fast in a tin can. It almost sounds like a bolt is loose under heavy vibration, and making a loud, constant, pinging. If this happens, you need to check your plugs, sensors, and anything else you can think of because it's NOT GOOD.

I had this problem before and trust me it's pretty scary.

As for the bogging and hesitation, I'd say check your feul filter. If it's clogged, you aren't getting anything to the injectors, and if any at all, it's wouldn't be enough.
 
well i have a check engine light it is code 11 has any one ever had a code 11 what does intermittent loss of cam or crank signal mean my car just goes to around 5k 4k sometimes 3k and starts sputtering and bucking like theres no tommorow...whats up?? also my tach goes crazy when this happens help:cry:

Although I'm unfimiliar with codes, I can give you an idea of what it probably is..
If it's giving you a cam or crank signal I'd assume this would be your CPS. That means Crank/Cam position sensor is faulty.
 
It means one of those sensors is going out on you... You can pop off the cam angle sensor and check the state of the magnet attached to the end of the camshaft. If that seems to be tight and intact, then my next step would be to replace the sensors.

There is a way to test the outputs from each sensor, but not without an oscilloscope.
 
I had a similiar problem when I turboed my 420a when ever I would start hit 5 to 6 pounds of boost my car would buck and start to do detonation so went and changed my spark plugs and gap them at 35 and also change ## spark plug wire!! Problem was solved
