egr engine light

i took out my egr but it throws the engine light on ### its not seeing the sensor pluged in, so do i just hook the egr sensor back in and run it to vacuum or what. just to get the engine light off thanks guys

Yes, without it (or, the proper electrical load) in the circuit your ECU will find an error.

You can try just connecting the solenoid to the wiring harness; no vac lines needed. You should be able to do away completely with the EGR valve and tubing. I've heard that works with 95's.

i have a 95 and left the electric hoked up and took off the egr but the light still comes on only after hard accelerations.

ya same i guess maybe u need the egr tube, ### i even tried hooking up vacuum to it and still threw code

for my fix i hook up my lap top and clear the code right before my inspection and it seems to work.
