I know as many people say... "you get what you pay for" and i beleive in that statement but, the " PaceSetter Monza Performance Cat-Back Exhaust System (2.5" Tubing, 4" Rolled Tip) " but it fits my car and its pretty cheap, i dont wanna get it if its bs tho...

I have the exhaust on my car and i can tell you that it is a piece of sh1t not only does it not fit as well as other systems(currently have a raddle somwhere) but it rust within a few months cause it's just steel, also it sounds like total junk like as if I had some souped up lawnmower. I definetly plan on changing my exhaust to somthing better.

i got the same exhaust and im cutting off the muffler and putting on an apexi ni universal.i hate the way the pacesetter sounds.it sounds like donald duck is in your muffler gettin strangled.i definately would not get that exhaust

unfortunately for me, pacesetter is the only company that makes an exhaust for a 1g. You guys got any other recomendations, before i buy one? i have heard my share of both people who hate them and people who love them. I just dont want to end up hating it.

i know the n-1 is always a big recomendation but.. what are some other choices for my 2g NA

well I have the catback and I love it. The muffler is what determines how the car sounds more so than the piping. I cut the pacesetter off and got an OBX B5 muff welded on and it sounds awesome. Ive been told that my car sounds like it has a 4G63 in it when Im at WOT, its deep and throaty even with my gutted cat. Go for it, just think about changing the muffler down the line

greddy makes a nice catback for our car.. the evo.. but its expensive, the N1 is what i have and i absolutely love the sound and you gotta love that phat angled tip... the apexi worldsport is also not too bad.. tanabe makes the racing medalion.. but its more than the N1.... just look arround... pacesetter is NOT the way to go esp if you live where it snows.. it will rust right out from under you. but you said it yourself.. you get what you pay for.

you could buy the pacesetter to use the pipes and then buy another muffler, or buy a muffler and go to a exhaust shop and have them make up the pipes for you which I belive it might be cheaper to do. I'd check what is the cheapest way.
GOOD LUCK!

I have heard the pacesetter before and it sounded like sh!$ I had a Greddy header whit a tanabe racing medallion for a Gst. I know it is to big but it sounded bad ass but I have a turbo now so it dose not matter.

sounded like #@%#@%#@%#@% on my nt, totally different sound on my turbo.

quite while driving now and has an agressive growl under acceleration.

hm.... im thinking of going down to an exhaust shop and having them make me a custom pipe.. but i plan on getting a HRC kit soon so.. should i go slightly bigger than 2.5? like 2.8 or something LOL..

No, you dont want to go too big, because you need some back pressure, otherwise youll actually start to lose a little power. Im going to have custom made, a 2.5" downpipe and I just ordered an apexi n1 muffler with removable silencer that im going to put on. The shop near me said they would custom make me a 2.5" downpipe from cat-back for about $100. anyone else have this set-up on a 1g nonturbo? ...how is it?
