Fairly new to the whole DSM scene.. heard from a friend and looked around at Weapon R intakes and exhausts. What are your guys' thoughts on these parts? Are they any good? Thinkin' about puttin' them on my '96 RS, but if it turns out its not worth it, I've got alternatives. They seem to be fairly cheap too.

i think the weaponR intakes are great, never heard of they're exhaust branch tho... post some links?

:dsm:
Weapon-R is a very good brand. The mufflers sound awesome!!! They are definitely some of the BEST on the market. I had one on my 1991 Celica and it sound like a real high end tuner car no doubt. Go to the website. www.Weapon-R.com they have a nice website. Intakes and Exhaust are :thumb: :thumb:

If you want some cheaper alternatives just to compare prices I would go to www.stylinconcepts.com and type in parts for Eclipse and you will find some more exhausts and intakes. I have seen an intake for $30. I can't of course vouch for the quality, but it is a cheapee solution.

I've seen some WEAPON-R intakes....Chipped chrome, cracked rubber, crappy torn filters. I have a AEM cold air intake with a bypass valve on my 97' RS, I absoluty love it, It helped out in the top end great and I can keep it on in the rain dur to the by-pass valve...I went with a cheap intake once (CHIKARA) and I regreted it. I spent the extra money on AEM and I have been more thensatisfied with it ever since.

they are a #@%#@%#@%#@%#@% to take apart to clean the filter and the screws rust and the whole crome and exotic look is nice but your better off going with something like k&n or AEM better filters also.

I went with a cheap CHIKARA short ram intake once and I severly regreted it...didn't fit, the anodized finish on it spiderwebed the filter fell apart at the base, all I'm saying is that you really compare and contrast on your own cause there are alot of intakes out there and everyone will have a different opinion as you can already see...happy hunting.
