Hmm... deffinatly not an air filter, it's equipped with an Ingen CAI, and I don't see it connected to the valve cover anywhere (isn't that what the pvc valve is for?

that it just a k & n cover for some electronics, look in your engine (if you have 420A) it's like a little MAP sensor or wiring harness sort of a deal, something to that effect.

It's a breather filter, but what's a breather? The only electronics I have in that vicinity is the little doodad that is to the right of the K&N breather filter in the pics above.

the only breather on our engines is te one in the valve cover. that clearly has a hose to connect it to the injen intake. all it is is a cover for the map sensor

i thought the same thing but looking at it closer you can see that it is a filter if you look in the reflection of the opposite side of the cover you can see that it is a filter, but i don't know what to

What kind of wire setup needs a filter?

The reason I have some respect for that car, is if you disregard his admission of his car into the F&F movie (which who the hell wouldn't want their car in a major motion picture?), it is a car owned by a single person, who is sponsored by seperate race and show teams. He get's paid to win for putting inovations on his car (this car being one of the one's for all ricers to pose after), the reason I don't say his car is ricey, is because there wasn't much rice before that f'in movie came out. So I give the guy mad props, it's a clean original car that launched the look people pose after.

there are no electronics right there. The only real electronics that are normally in that spot is the EGR solenoid and I can still see that in the pic. See look

Could someone tell me what the EGR (assuming it means exhaust gas regulator? since i've heard it cycles exhaust through the head when the car is warming up or something) does exactly?
