ok so i just finished today my port and polish of my head, thanx to vfaq.com for the valve spring compressor do dad, tb and intake manifold next, but my question is

i searched the forums, and get alot of mixed feelings about unorthodoxed lightweight crank pulleys, and im wonderin if i should get one, or not.... im thinking about upgrading my fuel pump, injectors, and headers,

do you guys think i should go that far, or would a safcII be better for now?? im eventually gonna throw a turbo on , prob by next spring,

i wanted to upgrade my cam gears and cam shafts, but i read somewhere and a few people said it wouldnt be worth it right now.

just lookin for some guidance,

dont get the unorthadox pulley, its over priced and the AF/X one is half the price and gives the same results. you dont really have a need for new injectors right now, i dont think you will be taking in enough air to max out your injectors. a s-afcII is a good investment, mike(miamieclise) got 9 whp on the dyno with his. and you can use it with a turbo too. you could get some cams and cam gears, that would give you some good power, especially with the P&P, but if you are going to go turbo, i would just save the money for that.

hmm, so a underdrive pulley isnt worth it? im definately getting a safcII, and cam gears,

would stop cams be fine with cam gears? or would i really need both? i got the car for free, did the p&p for free, so im lookin to put at least a grand into it, before the turbo....

however i have a turbo out of a 911 twin turbo here at my shop just sitting around, all that is wrong with it is the shaft has a little play at the center bearing, easy fix. wondering if anyone would know if this would be fine in my eclipse??? i got a guy here who wants to make me a header if i put the turbo on

but yea i agree with the other guy, theres alot of talk about udp's and no definitive answers, alot of this way that way stuff.

thanx

Forgot the p in miamieclipse OMG how dare you? :p

Who told you cams & cam gears would be a waste on a n/a car?

An udp (apart from nitrous) is the best bang/buck mod for our car in not only my opinion but many others at well (PS Howell lowered the price to $120 now)

i didnt say they werent worth it, there very worth it. the 911 turbo should work fine, turbos are basically universal as long as you have manifolds and piping that will bolt up to it that fits your car.

sweet , thas what i thought, all i gotta do is rebuild it and its a 2000$ turbo for free, cant beat that with a free stick LOL

yea so im deff gonna order the udp set and the cam gears and cams, what hp should i be pushin with these mods.... P@P head, intake manifold, TB, cam gears, cam shafts, safcII, and header, and cai?

UDP is worth it. Cams a gears are worth it. You will get more power from cams and gears after you do a lot more, but you'll still get it when you do all that work. Just make sure you get the right kind of cams. You don't want a cam meant for NA when your turboing. Did you p&p your head yourself? I've never done a head, but mine was going to be the first. Let me know how it was

yea i ported and polished it myself, and imust say it came out great especially compared to alot fo ones ive seen online done by do-it-yourselfers.

its not that hard, just takes patience and determination i guess
