I have a few questions.. I want to make a new exhaust system but I want something that's really quiet and starts to sound a little mean at higher speeds. I'm tired of being in first at 4k, going through a red light and my car is like WHHHHOAAAAAAAAAWWWHHHH. I'm sure you guys know what I mean.

1. Does anyone know of an exhaust system that's really quiet but still sounds aggressive?

2. Or maybe a company that just sells quality mufflers? And what size piping would be best?

Right now I have a stock sized (whatever that is) straight pipe and ractive muffler. It's major :thumbdown But I made it myself :thumb:

3. And finally, can I run the pipe underneath the rear axle like I've seen the turbo guys doing?

The apex world sport and world sport 2 are both as quiet as stock at idle, and sound a little more agressive at high RPMs. Also you could get a muffler shop to bend some 2.5" piping from your cat back and then weld a stock muffler off of a turbo dsm. It will be quiet but it will still flow better than a stock N/T.

go on ebay and get the N/A Apexi N1 muffler for 160ish i know it sounds expensive but then go to the nearest muffler shop have them run some piping (i did 2.25) and slap a cherry bomb in the middle and it is quiet up till about 3.5k and when you punch it it will sounds Bad A$$ it only cost me a total of about 310.00 with everything installed which is about 190.00 cheaper than the whole catback want a sounds clip of it go to

www.sunkissedgoldens.com/eclipse and scroll down and click the link give it a second to load...i like the sounds personally and ill get some new clips after i get my test pipe put in :thumb:

Waiting for the video as I type. Thanks for the help. So can I run the pipe under the axle? I see yours is going over also.

Oh and what size piping?

I got 2.25 inch cause i didn't want to lose any low end im pretty satisfied with it best mod yet till i get my underdrive pulleys and high flow cat and header.
