I have a 96 RS n i wanted to kno if i can get a s-afc2 when im running stock injectors non-turbo (for now), its auto, all that is done is a arospeed exhaust, CAI, and new plugs n wires. should i get a afc? and can i upgrade to bigger injectors on my setup? im am 15 rite now so i am on a reely tite budget.

Hahn tells you to upgrade your injectors for stage 3 of their turbo kit....which means you use stock injectors (190cc i beleive) for the stage 2 which should produce upwards to 280hp.

When you say arospeed exhaust do you mean jsut the muffler or is it a cat-back? What other mods do you have that you think your running rich that you need to tune the fuel?

I am just now purchasing a s-afc (I’m running rich). I have cai, header, header-back exhaust, udp. I am getting my intake manifold n tb ported & polished and I am ordering an s-afc right now because I am running rich. I am not upgrading my injectors until my wet kit (ordering right now as well) and my head is installed (should be here 2-3 weeks).

Personally i beleive there are other things you should do before the afc (like header, hi-flow cat, underdrive pulley, p&p intkae mani (or buy one), port your throtle body)

But it is your decision, good luck!

EDIT: Look into getting a shift kit for your car.

wut do u mean shift kit cuz my friend is telln me to get one but i do not kno wut he means n if it is gona add hp or make my car go faster how much am i lookn at spending for one?

new injectors would be futile right now... the afc could get ya a little horsepower(maybe 8?) if tuned very well. you may be able to find bigger gains with that money elsewhere tho

Shift kits basically stretch out your shift points to make you more like a manual. Your car would push closer to redline than it does now. Also they can make shifts faster. My dad has a shift kit on his Impala SS and it feels like a deadbolt locking when going into gears. Quicker than any manual could ever shift.

Performance gains would be decent from this but it hasnt proven to really increase my fathers 1/4, at least not that we can measure. So ... ? Im sure it would but maybe not a whole lot unless you put down some major power.

umm what ^ said is kinda true.

A shift kit makes the car shift a little close to 7200 (it shifts at 6500 b/c htat is what the auto REDLINE is, so it will shift closer to 7200).

A shift kit will also make a automatic car (which already can outshift a stickshift, ive never met a human hand being faster than the ecu.....yes even u chris  ) shift even faster. Think of it this way, If an auto tranny takes .4 seconds to shift, it will now take .1....quicker shifting LOL :p

Oh it cost ~$80

haha i was already thinking of a reply about how i can before i read you said that LOL. i cant imagine a auto shifting better, cuz i never hear them peel shifting gears eh? dont forget about the 500hp lost while going to the wheels too :p jk

Where can i get a shift kit for a decent price and will it be a DIY project or sumthn i shuld take to my friend that is a mechanic?
