How much would it cost to get and oil leak fix? i know it depends where but how much are we looking at. its leaking motor oil i know that much

From a few dollars if you do it yourself and its something simple. To hundreds if you take it in an you have a serious problem. Honestly, i've heard alot of vague questions on here, but you my friend are the winner. Maybe find out what the problem is first then post a thread. Besides, this should probably be in the problem diagnosis forum if i'm not mistaken...

you were right on the money when you said you know it depends where... it could be from your font cover, which would cost upwards 500 to fix, or your oil filter could have a hole, or not be on tight, which could cost maybe 20 bucks to fix. This could be answered better if you gave us some idea of which side of the engine it is coming from and wether it is from the front or the rear of the engine too...

ok sorry i know lame question no response lool. k i ran the engine and it seems to be leaking from the back of it not the front. i have a 420a engine. it seems to be leaking from a place that has a wire conected to it. like a sensor or something. its engien oil not tranny oil. and it bleeds from the bottom of the engine bello the head so it not a gasket i think. this any more. ill try to take pictures

That still sounds like the headgasket, its just seeping out from above it. It's the common problem that all our 420A's have. Get a MLS gasket... the head job will cost 800cdn from the satan dealership. 400-600 from other shops.

well finaly i decided to get my lazy ass of the couch and get to work on my car LOL. well it turn out it was an oil plug slash sensor. its right behined the head and it like half metal nut and then half long platic tube with a harnes . ive een told its an oil temp or oil heat sensor? well whatever it is whats the name of it and how much is it to buy?
