i need serious help

ok my 92 talon n/a 2.0 is under powered the flow in the fuel system is good the compression is 140 through all cylinders the catalytic converter isnt clogged...the fuel filters fine.....i dont know what the heck is going on and its pissin me off soo much......please help

care to elaborate? Stock car? Is the car generally slow, does it hesitate, smell anything, unusual performance, etc? Do you want more power? I would like to help you out, but we need a little more information.

Thats under the service limit compression wise, might look into rebuilding her

the POS is stock and its just lacking normal power........it hesitates when u put the pedal down and all the way thru the rev ranges.....whats the service limit? and how much do u think a rebuild would be? thanks guys

Normal comression for the 2.0 1g Non-Turbo is 192 psi, the service limit is 145 psi. I know what you mean by power loss, Im a little confised myself. I have 165 psi across give or take +5- It seems like with my car half throttle and full throttle give the same amount of power So i just stay with my foot about a 1/3 throttle when I wana go fast.

How long have you had car? Is this just starting or been like this for awhile. My car didnt seem right when I got it air cleaner was horrible, ran much better later. Also 02sensor was really loose.

i just bought it, but the guy said it needs a new one......but he also said the problem with the tailights was a blown fuse.......and they wired the cd player wrong and they primered half of it like shizzit so i didnt really believe him

If you just got car look over everything then look again, Igot a great deal on mine from a friend at works dad who had everything done by a shop cause he was older and had money so I thought perfect easy. Yeah right. Bozos charged him 350 for new alt. and didnt even bolt it on right adjuster bolt was hitting powersteering belt and didnt even clean battery terminals. After looking at car a few times figured it out. So tune up everthing , plugs, wires, aircleaner, fuelinjector cleaner, check all kindasa little stupid stuff and it might be staring you in the face!

So true, a basic tune-up on any vehicle is always a good thing
