I have a 94 es 2.0 i just pulled the ecu out the other day to check the caps and was suprised to see a eprom on the board (caps good). For 1990 owners you have to open the ecu to see if you have a eprom chip, wich is located (harness conector facing up) on the lower right hand corner. 91' and later eprom ecu's will have a E in the lower right hand corner of the label. Im currently in the middle of a turbo conversion. I'm curious since I have a n/t eprom ecu can you install a eprom upgrade chip for a turbo ecu and "viola Instant turbo ecu"? I understand that the programming is on the eprom. This would work I supose if the circuitry were the same. Any Ideas? :D

No, the turbo ECU's have additional circuitry, such as a knock filter and MAF reset.
