I was wondering if anyone knew anything about how superchargers perform on Eclipses. I know they make of alot different types and they are alot cheaper than going turbo. I've only seen one supercharged Eclipse, it was at a show a few years back. Supposedly the owner had over 300hp with just an intake, headers, cam gears, pulleys and the supercharger. Since I already have everything but the cams, pulleys and supercharger seems this would be better than getting rid of my headers to go turbo. Help me out?

There are presently no production superchargers available for the 2GNT eclipse.

A few rumors here and there, but nothing came out of them.

Damn you! you have given me some evil thoughts now. I hate you I hate you I hate you!

I wonder how a nice paxton blower or vortec would perform, I might have to weld an extra pulley to the idler gear or water pump pulley and probably get a hood scoop but since the hood bulge is in the driver's side it might actually look pretty damn good.

The intercooler could be a front mounted intercooler with inlet in the driver's side and oulet in teh passenger side, and from there to the throttle body. The piping can be custom made, and the blower brackets can be welded and bolted to the motor mount and to the alternator bracket.

Imagine the boost an intercooled-V8-intended blower can make on a 4-banger DSM, ahhhhhhhhh the possibilities!!!!

DAMN YOU!!!

Damn the guy had a supercharger and headers?

Never seen anyone using more than 1 header on a DSM and never really seen an supercharged eclipse other than one at PSI.
