With a 420A engine, what is the highest amount of horsepower that I cna reach without replacing engine internals to make it stronger?
Or is it not that simple?

The only reason its a flaming war is because a stock 1g 6bolt motor can handle a mildly tuned 550hp+ and the 420a is good for about 300hp finely tuned... i used to have a 420a, this is just how it is.

im well aware of why it becomes a flame war, and it starts out by someone saying somethign like that, and then someone responds with some advantage of the 420a, and then it just keeps escalading from there. read the link i left before, perfect example

Well, the way that I see it is that the 420A has its advantages, and along with that the 420A has its disadvantages over the 4G63T; however, the same can be said about the 4G63T. It also has advantages, and disadvantages over the 420A. So the way I see it is that they are both great motors....I mean compare them to what was running in a Model T...they are a whole lot better. It is just that one is good for one thing and is not for the other...

Personally, however, I prefer the idea of the 420A being newer, 10 years newer that is. I also like the 4G63T because of its potential power. It is just rarely seen from both sides with an open mind.

And I am quite sure that someone will have a lot to say about that...but to me, that seems rather truthful.

ive said it before and ill say it again, this is just going to end up in a flame war so we should stop it now!
