just started on my 97 rs

Wzup people. I just bought a 97 eclipse rs a few months ago and today got my first after market performance bolt on. An OBX cold air intake. Everyone here at my shop is talikin' $#@^ about it.. to me, it's a temporary add on until later when i get a turbo and then change everything to format the turbo. Is it possible to turbo my rs and still have it pass smog? And for the time being, what can I do right now to get as much horsies as possible w/o a turbo??

To get more "horsies" out of this car, you should get a cat-back exhaust, underdrive pulley, headers. That will squeeze out a few more "horsies" for the time being. If you plan on turboing your car soon, save your money, because you won't be able to use your headers or your CAI you just bought, and chances are, the exhaust you'll buy will have to small of piping.
