How much hp would this setup make on my 93 2.0l non-turbo Laser:

Pacesetter Headers
Pacesetter Performance Cat-back exhaust
Cold air intake with K&N filter
Unorthodox Underdrive Pulley set
Ported and polished intake manifold

I'd like to make 195 hp at the flywheel (same as stock turbo) without using nitrous or a turbocharger. What else do I need to do to get that much power?

it takes quite a bit to get that much hp at the wheels. you would need cams, cam gears, p&p head, p&p intake manifold w/ bigger throttle body all gasket matched. higher compression pistons with the stainless steel valves, and titanium springs. basically you need a higher compression motor to achieve that. to save you money i would work on your power to weight ratio. if you want better e.t's gut the car w/ the 150 hp that you would probably make with those mods. that should give you a quicker car.

i personally wouldnt spend the money for the more expensive header.... they really dont do anythings for NA cars except make them sound meaner. I think you get like a 5 hp difference. However with a strong motor they can make a bigger difference. As far as compression i would go with 10.5:1 compression if you want to keep a daily driver and maybe mill the head to make it a 11:1 comp. Anything over that and you will have to start retarding the timing. The cams dont have to be crazy. I went with a crane nitrous grind cam because i have NOS but you can go with a street grind with a fairly good lift and duration. Something like 242, 354 lift. You can use fidanza gears or AEM but dont buy cheap ones. Basically you will have to do everything you can to get as much air in your motor as possible so that you can have that hp that you want.

I found a place place that can custom make them but it will cost $625. That's the only place I've found so far that even has pistons for the 1g non-turbo engine. Anyone know of any other places?

JE PISTONS SHOULD MAKE THEM.....CALL HOWELL AUTOMOTIVE AND ASK THEM IF THEY HAVE ANYTHING FOR YOUR CAR.
