I searched the forums for an hour and couldnt find anything on this kit so plz dont flame me:D . Anyway...the kit im looking at is at http://www.prostreetonline.com/pso/pages/services/tsiturbo.asp and im lookin at the extreme one...they offer the superior but no ic or bov...stupid. It looks to me like the extremem is a fmic. Anyways, it says application for 89-94 4g63 so im assuming that means its for a 89-94 nonturbo? if so...ive read here on the forums people say the stock rods/pistons will support 7-8psi no problem. however, would i need to put a turbo ecu in? or a turbo head? it says on the site its all bolt on so if i could drop that in my car and that be it, great. im not looking for a rocket to take to the strip, just a decent performing car. please share your opinions.

Oh sorry, i ddin't realize you asked more then one question (note to self, stop skimming so fast)

I would hope that it was a turbo kit for a 89-94 non turbo 4g63 since they are advertising the turbo kit with a t25, which is the stock turbo on a 2g and generally accepted to not be as good as the 1g's 14b. Basically what i was trying to say that if it wouldn't make sense to be an upgrade for the turbo model since it would be downgrading the turbo.

Since it's suppose to be a bolt on kit for your car, you shouldn't have to change the ecu or head or anything. Because the compression on the 4g63 nt is higher, you probably wouldn't want to boost more then the recommend 6-7 psi or you could detonate.

The fast spooling t25 and high compression together would feel really nice, especially in a low boost application.

ok...do you think i could run a higher boost if i did change the ecu to a turbo ecu and a safc to increase the fuel flow to prevent detonation? i mean would the nt internals handle any higher than the 6-7 listed in their kit? also...do you think it is worth the 2550 bucks?

The tsi kit is a pretty good kit, but if ur gonna get it get the ball bearing turbo one because that one will spool up faster, plus its a t25 which is the turbo thats stock on the 2nd gen eclipse, its a pretty good deal but im gonna turbo mine with stock turbo parts.:dsm:

I drive a 2g nt, so I can't say if the price is good or not. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of turboing a 1gnt can chime in.

You could try to turn up the boost, but you'd have to be really good with tuning fuel, otherwise you'll get detonation and blow up your pistons.

I don't think the turbo ecu would help, if anything it would probably cause problems. Um, besides s-afc, you'll need fuel pressure regulator and high pressure fuel pump (which i assume is included in the kit).

I wouldn't recommend turning up the boost until you plan on rebuilding the engine to handle it.

fuel pressure regulator is included....fuel pump is not...hmm, well only runnin 7-8 pounds of boost would you really need a bigger fuel pump?
