I have a 92 Eagle Talon with a 4G63nt and I just bought a 98 spyder gs and was wondering what is the differance between the 4g64 and 420a. I now know the 4g64 is a single overhead cam motor.is this motor only found in the gs? I want to do some performance upgrades so any help would be great. Thanks Shawn.

the 420a is a 2.0l 16 valve, DOHC engine. The 420a engine is found in the 2g n/t dsm's. The turbo 2gs, the n/t 1g and turbo 1 g have the 4g63 engine, altho i think the 1g n/t is a 1.8 liter if im not mistaken.

You can do some of the basic mods, cat-back exhuast, hi-flow cat, headers, intake, pulleys. But the most important thing is to have fun! :thumb:

your spyder has the 2.4 dusnt it?oh well.the 1g n/t's have both a non-turbo 4g63 2.0 and a 4g37(i think thats the code) 1.8.l8r.
