strange noise

after driving about an hour my engine starts to make a slight squeeling noise that sounds like fan belts. I dont think its the fan belts becuase they are all brand new and tightend up. you can only hear the noise at idle. Is this a problum or just normal engine noises>??? thanks for your comments

not sure what it could be but next time it does it pop the hood open and listen to see where it is coming from mine does a squeeling noise every once in a while and i just spray wd-40 on the pulleys and it clears right up, dont spray it on the belt tho, not sure if im much help but thats what ive done to stop it, most likely u might need to change belts.

Try a can of belt dressing. When the noise starts, pop the hood and spary it on each belt. Find out which one is squeeking and take a good look at the pulley alignment. If the belt squeeks again either the belt is wrong or the pulleys are mis aligned. Good luck!

Check the tension of the belts.

And, as always, check the hub in the harmonic balancer.
