jus wondering...what kind did you get??

and be sure to let us know the results once it's on!

I messed up and bought the obx one but regret now but what could I do so I might as well work with what I got and you guys said do it myself how when my buddie said that I need a special tool for it I am not sure tell me guys

i posted about a pulley install and local shops...but no one replied...LOL

from what i hear, you need to drop the engine on the passenger side and that tool your talking about is a 3 ton pulley puller.

i remember someone saying that you just need to take off the passenger side tire and take off the fender well and it's right there. after that it's pretty easy if you have an impact wrench, but that is just what i heard.

well I dont knowI think I am just gooing to take it to a shop I guess or what do you think

I f I do take it to a shop how much di you think It will cost then and if I do it myself then what will I need to do then

i'm having one of my friends put it in for me, he did one to a civic, hopefully he can do mine. I tried all the local garages and nobody would do it cause they wouldn't guarantee the aftermarket part.....I hear you have to be careful with the timing. Good luck!

its pretty easy if you know what your doing, it took us a couple hrs. I have the AFX UDP and it knocked off 4/10s from my quarter mile time, from 16.3 to 15.9. Without a doubt it is one of the best bang for the buck items to get.

just got mine, made an appointment to get it installed the 26th but i think im going to rent a gear puller and give it a whirl this sat. what u guys think?:dsm: isnt it a #@%#@%#@%#@%#@% to get the new belts back on? thats one part i think il #@%#@%#@%#@% up, that and lowering the engine. is it hard? can a kid who has minimum mech. experience do this? ive always been good with my hands and i got instructions, i dunno should i?

$60 and it wasn't a problem at all to the mechanic who ended up doing mine, the only thing was it that it took me forever to find a mechanic who would do it for me! Took a couple hours, he just lowered the engine, and the pulley came off easily. Find a small shop, they will usually try anything.

I have read many a horror story on installing these so I let a shop do mine.

I have had no problems with accessories or my stereo not having enough power. It does help get the engine revving, very noticeable in 1st and 2nd gear. Probably returned some of the low end torque I lost when adding the AEM CAI.

All in all it is a good mod if done correctly.

Anything the lessens the backpressure on our NA cars can decrease the amount of low-end torque available, this would include air intakes and free flowing exhausts.

i heard all pulleys are basically the same...so you're only paying for the name. you can find them on ebay for under $100...i know a couple people that use them and they say they work just as good as any other. just a thought.
