well, I was about 30% throught my turbo conversion when I got a couple tickets alot of $ anyhow, for now do you guys think porting out the stock exhaust manifold will make a difference? also, where can I get a carbide burr for under $10? I can only find them for 20 to 30. Also, while I'm at it, should I polish the throttle body?

Port match the runners to the head. Don't go any bigger or smaller I'd assume. Also make sure the airflow isn't interupted. Make the port match flow evenly with the cast manifolds runners (ie - don't just port half and inch into the runner).

Thanks TimG, would this increase my top end or low end at all? I don't really want to pay for an obx, make a flex section and it still be the same size as the stocker, thanks again for the response. I'll let you guys know what kind of a difference I noticed if any, James.

I would just throw the old manifold back on without touching it to be honest. Just wait for turbo project money because it is the single modification you want to do.

I recently dropped a n/t motor in an AWD chassis for the winter and I'm driving it around now and I have to admit. It's way too slow.

Just wait through your tickets, pay them off and start fresh for a conversion.

I sprung a boost leak somehow and didn't have time to fix it. I needed my car, so I took the WG actuator off the flapper and drove it as is, running blow-through. Let me tell you, it is slow as piss.
