2G 2g windshield wipers

hi every one i have been non stop trying to fix my windshield wipers for my 2g and it is useless. i have looked over and over made one other post and nothing seems to help or work i just bought a new light / windshield switch and new motor for them and greased up the parts . and bought new fuses and put them in and the second i turn the key on it blows a fuse every time i don't even have time to see if they are working!
Now i would like to fix this as i have not had them to work for over a year and i am stumped have no idea what to look for or how to i just need some real help and some real stuff please ? thanks for hearing me out.

Sounds like a short to me that's the only thing that would blow fuses like that check connections and wires for anything broke or sliced. Prob a power wire that is grounding out

i have been looking but i don't really know were to actually look i have been trying to fix this since i owned the car they worked good for a month that's it then i have been useing rain ex.

If it is blowing the fuse than you have a short to ground in the circuit. Most like this is from a bare wire. Buy a multimeter and start testing for continuity to ground.

Here is some "real help and some real stuff..."
Review the info in this link. If the fuse blows when you first turn the key, I would unplug the wiper switch and the wiper motor and then try the key again. If the fuse DOES NOT blow, then plug in the wiper switch and try again. If still OK then plug in the motor. This will at least give you an idea of where to look. The link above has the wiring diagrams so you can troubleshoot the circuit. (It could also be the 'windshield intermittent wiper relay', it is in the steering column, see the link for location)

Back from the dead....it seems I have a similar problem. Before I start chasing wires maybe somebody has seen this. In my case both front and rear quit. Halfway up they stopped. To me this rules out the stalk switch. I likely blew a fuse ( I'll know in a little bit). The intermittent feature on the front wipers has always been flakey Wipers didn't park. Leaning towards intermittent relay. It finally goes and takes out the whole circuit.
Gotta go grab my meter.

I have reverse engineered an early 1990s dodge pickup intermittent wipers system (in as much as deleted the intermittent module in the wiring harness when I custom wired the vehicle to a modern Cadillac power relay fuse block) and immediately regretted the removal when the wipers can’t find their home automatically when I flip the switch off.

That being said, do you wonder if there might be harness chafing at the firewall. Probably unlikely as the front and rear both stopped. I’ll take a look at the wiring diagram and follow the electrons.

Mine also are dead on my 95 and the fuze is fine. Who knows. DSMproblems

Well I didn't get very far. I put in a 20 amp circuit breaker to diagnose the circuit but instead now its all working again. I'll report back maybe after the holiday

Made it 2 weeks blew the circuit breaker. Resets and works again so there has to be a short somewhere. Chafed wire etc.
