Emissions + Testpipe insert

I have a full 3" turbo back system with a fake cat. I also have an emissions test coming up.
My DP just slides into the fake cat and I use a clamp to keep it there. What I was thinking was to get an old cat, punch out the insides and make an insert that I can easily remove when the test is finished with.
I'm sure I've seen this on some site before but for the life of me I couldn't find it. Has anyone ever done this or seen it done or know where to buy a premade one?

You're not gonna pass emissions with a gutted cat unless all they do is a visual test

I'm aware of that. I was asking whether or not anyone has made an insert with the catalytic converter media to add then remove once the test has been completed.
