well my fuel gauge in my car is broke so i want to use a aftermarket fuel gauge and i was wondering if anyone has any input like a brand they used or how they hooked it up my stock gauge is stuck pointed at full if anyone knows why that might be?

Do u have a awd drive or a fwd I have a awd and I had the same problem I just took out my fuel sending unit and saw that it was not lifing right so u may want to check that and check ## gauge cluster it may be faulty
yea i have awd what exactly was wrong did you drop the tank? or thru the access panel in the back? i swapped the cluster same thing pushed the gauge up to overfull as soon as the key is turned to power

You should not have to drop the tank.I have a 2g and have had a 1g before and on a 1g u can get to it from under the car.don't think you can even get to it from in the car but I may be wrong.

Mine I got to it from the panel under the back seat.mine was reading empty when it was more than 1/4 full.all I did was pull it out and bent the lever just a little bit.if u do that just bend it a little bit u don't want to bend it to much.if u are over filling then bend it down.if u are reading empty than bend it up

Your profile says awd. You can get to it from the panel in the back. Sounds to me like you may have a broken wire.

A broken wire is not ## problem.if u had a broken wire the gauge would not move at all when u turn the key it has to be the sending unit is giving a faulty reading.take the sending unit out and make shure it is going all the way up or all the way down.then if it is bend it down a little bit to the botom of the tank ans should fix ## problem.

im gonna pull out the sending unit tonight to see what its doing wrong and i will let you all know a.s.a.p what i come up with good or bad thank you all for the idea's
