Alright here is the story.....this is my girlfriends car. Her car skipped timing a few weeks ago and bent valves in the head. She had her car in the shop and just got a new head and other stuff done. She got the car back lastnight at 10pm and at 8am this morning she was on her way to work and a lady slammed on her brakes when a light turned yellow at an intersection in front of her going 45mph and she rear ended the lady. The lady i guess thought yellow meant stop. Here are pics...Does the car looked totaled?

***We are currently in the process of fixing this car. It is coming along very nice so far***

hey everyone thanks for the input , thats my car =[ and yeah i dont think i have the heart to sell it ilove that thing.. and i have so many new parts sitting in my room that i didnt even put on. i cant give up on that caR.. we will post more pics of the frame tomorrow when we take it all apart:)

yea yellow lights are ###....green means go...yellow means go faster...red means #### when ## goin through it LOL but yea totally fix it especially if u got more parts for it in ## room

and another thing 1g awd+girl=sexy:sneaky:

The frame is most likely bent judging by the rad support, rad hose and the fender... and being at 45mph. But that's just from looking at the pics. You never know until you pull it all apart. And if the frame is bent you could pull it apart and bring it to a nearby shop just for the frame, I'm sure they wouldn't charge much as it really doesn't take that long and is very easy depending on the frame machine they have. That way they can measure it and make sure it is perfect and the rest is just small repairs like swapping hood, fender, etc. which you can do yourself. The truck and chain method does work LOL...but a lot can go wrong with that also, but hell it'd be free if your budget is low. If it were my car I'd def see if you can buy it back.

Good Luck!

If you have insurance they will most likely total it. Then buy it back from them and fix it. Anywho how are the shock towers?? You can see that the radiator support is bent a couple inches from the radiator hose...

Id search for a new car :( Like someone else said, it takes a $h1t load of work to get it back to its center. Unless you take that bumper off, fender, hood, and can see if its repairable, That rad tweak sucks, but hey, ive seen worse rebuilt!! Just as long as you can drive the car straight still.!

i just gotta say one thing, i am tired of dsm owners who get the 1g's and when they get into a little crash they consider there car a total loss, bend the shit out keep the damn car alive, quit making these cars ''more'' rare then they already are, if its rusted out well #### sake metal and welder fix the shit, i will take a 1g in any condition, if its t-boned hard and non repairable hey there is my metal and other patch pieces for another dsm. sorry i just get irritated at seeing wreck 1g's and people not knowing what they should do. FIX IT :thumb:

i would fix it if it was mine. but then again i have junk yards around here with all the parts and also craigslist is awesome for that type of stuff, i have got parts for very cheap from there. all the body parts would probobly run $20-$30 each..... i would keep it! and dude above me has a very good point! keep dsm's in circulation

pull the bumper, hood, and fender get a comalong and a tree slowly pull her back to square. did that to my wifes probe when i rearended a stopped women at 45mph cost me $150 in junk yard parts and rattle can paint. looked damn good when i finished. i had taken it for an alignment and they were almost able to put it dead on.

as long as you get it close to how it was they should be able to set the alignment

Well I agree with everyone else. From the insurance company perspective, its probably totaled, but it is definitely fixable.

I have scavaging junkyards in the last few weeks looking for stuff for my car and there are plenty of parts available. In fact, I have seen more 90-91 then i have 92-94, which sucks for me since I have a 94.

I sold my car a few years ago after it took a *hit on me and it sat for 4 years. I finally could stand it anymore, and I just bought it back and now i'm trying to get it running again.

Keep DSM's goin!!! :thumb:

Seen this on tristatetuners aswell.. If you need anything let me know. I have a 90 AWD rolling chassis for parts or sale via PM. Clean/clear title ETC. needs drop-in motor. I'm not tryign to sell the car in this post, I'm just letting you know I have another shell, or the parts you need if you coulden't find them, I were only asking like $500 for the shell itself or 800 with trans and t-case. The $3,000 rims are not included, I have a ton of stock wheels.

Just dont let her borrow your car anytime soon, yikes. All females tend to ride peoples a$$'s on the road and just in general, happens to me daily.

don't sell it, just buy my straight roller and put all your stuff in it.

buy it back, try to fix it.

if its too much work, or you cant do it.
pull the engine out and sell it.

and part the rest of the good parts off.
so you can at least get some money off of it.

Well if i saw that on my car and knowing how much i love my car that would be a YES im going to fix that myself. I dont think that is going to cost more then you think. The radiator looks bent though, if the car means something to you i say fix it, if its just a car let it go
