New Member policy changes

We've just lowered the minimum post requirements that helps bump a Probationary Member (formerly known as New Member/Lurker) to a Proven Member from 50 to 30. This means that once you post 30 useful threads/posts in the Newbie and/or Maintenance forums, and you've been registered for 30 days on our site, you will gain Proven Member status. This means you will gain access to post in our Classifieds and a few other perks.

If you need help finding questions to answer, use the "Unanswered Threads" link in the Forums menu in the top navigation bar:

And don't feel like you have to type out answers - you can just as easily provide useful information by linking to pages in the FAQ Forum, the Tech Articles section, the Upgrade Paths section, the VFAQ.com site, etc. Links are just as helpful as posts sometimes. A lot of the time, users just need to be pointed to the info. But please be advised - we don't allow replies that consist of nothing more than "Use the search". Link them to the answer (to the page where the answer can be found, not just a vague link), post the answer, or don't reply.
