Triggerdisk Install 1g Green CAS AEM EMS

After watching this video: http://www.triggerdisc.com/vid/triggerdisc.wmv

I decided that I would love for my car to start that fast. The AEM EMS has a few drawbacks, and one of them is the ability to get the car to start up quickly.

Video of my car starting WITH OUT NEW TRIGGERDISK: Galant VR4 Forward facing manifold - Car Videos on StreetFire

Now my car had to crank about 10+ times before it finally started, and when you compare that to the 3 times the triggerdisk equipped car you can quickly see why the 85 bucks is worth it.

Install.
1. Remove the CAS from your car. (I did not take a pic of this, I assume you know what a CAS is.)

2. Remove the 2 Screws holding the CAS Lid on. You will more than likely have to use the Channel Locks or the Pliers to remove them because they are Tamper Proof.

3. Remove the Machine Screw that is holding the current disk in place. I held the back of the rotator thing, with the channel locks this way I could unscrew the machine screw.

4. Remove the spacer holding the disk in place.

5. Carefully lift the OEM disk out of the sensor. Be sure to remember the orientation. You might have to jiggle the disk around to get it out, but do not force it out, it should slide out pretty easy, it will just take a little bit of adjustments to get it out.

6. Insert the new disk, remember that it will take a little bit of jiggling around to get it to slide in smoothly but it will go in there. Do not force it. Make sure that it is lined up the same way as the OEM disk. The new 24 tooth disk does not have large slot, only the small cam slot and the 24 teeth. You will need to make sure it lines up as close as possible, the AEM EMS will handle all the rest.

7. Install the spacer, and the Machine Screw. Be sure to tighten these back to the way the factory one felt. You will need to hold the back of the CAS again as you tighten this.

8. Reattach the CAS Cap. Before this is done you can take some time to clean everything off a little. Mine was pretty dirty from years of abuse. Be sure not to damage the seal on the CAS Lid.

9. Reinstall into your car.

10. Configure your EMS for the new triggerdisk. I did not provide the settings they should come with your disk.

11. You will need to retime your car with the injectors off.

12. Set timing with the car running.

13. Set the timing drift.

There you have it. I will post a video as soon as I have one available. Good luck with the install and feel free to ask any questions.
