I recently moved from Pheonix AZ up to Flagstaff and I've noticed a deffinate change in power. so I started searching on here about what altitude can do to a turbocharged car. I read that you'll use 15% power or so and that you can raise the boost to compensate. I was wondering if I can raise the PSI on my car to compensate or if I should just deal with it? I'm running 7 psi now on a stock block with a FMU.
 
The turbo should self-compensate: fewer air molecules to slow it down allows it to spin faster and more easily and effectively compress the space between those molecules. The main reason turbine and other centrifugal superchargers came into being was for high-altitude aircraft engine use.

Factory turbo setups include a barometric compensator; I don't know what conversion people are doing.
