I have a 92 Talon TSI AWD. Anyone know the exact measurement of how wide the rims are, in inches? Thanks in advance...

stock tires are 205mm

not to sure about rim with though..

Yeah that's all I've been able to find out. Will a 215 fit with no problems? What about a 225? This car is strictly an autocross car, so the wider the better, but nothing that's pushing the rim too far.

Ok, the stock rim is only 6 inches... And if this is for autocross, I would stick with the 205's, so that the tire dosen't fold under itself, if you know what I mean. I personally have 225's and they look like they are flat and the rubber sticks out way too much past the rim, but this is for drag racing though

Agreed.

225 is the max width tire that will fit on a 6" wide rim. But the contact patch is considerably wider than the wheel. This makes the sidewall angle out away from the rim. For best handling you would ideally want a sidewall that is vertical.

Different manufacturers have slightly different widths for the same tire size. I.e.- A 205 Falken runs a bit wider than a 205 Kumho. If you want a tire that will do double duty for autox and street then the Falken Azenis RT-615 has earned a very good reputation.

Six inches. That's slightly depressing. It sounds like we might need to stick to the 205's. I'm probably going to go with the Dunlop Direzza Star Specs. Any other autocrossers have any input?
