I dropped the motor in and it only fired one of the coils for a brief (but painfully agonizing) day and a half. With about 14 hrs under my belt in trying to find the short because I absolutely SUCK at anything electrical, I found my problem. The car runs, I"m just dealing with several things before she sees the road again. Since I missed JMF's open house today, I am thinking of taking the talon out to mitsu day

yo no se. The kid's hardcore into it so I don't know if it's an open to the public event or you had to register through bmc cca (i didn't see it on their site) or something along those lines. He is however not one of those talk out your ass kids some I'm sure he's not making it up

definately making this, i tried last year but was unable to with work. Unfortunately no talon, still totalled and still far from being back up but i will be bringing my buddy with a 2004 sti swapped wrx wagon . Should be a good time.

, I know, but I was using vacation time and it was worth it.

This event I'd have to wake up early, drive the car 4 hours, race, drive home 4 hours and work the next day. Not really what I want to do.

Oh well. I haven't done anything to it to make it quicker anyways, so I'm not motiviated to beat on it. I have a few things here to install and run on CCDSM drag day, but that's it for this year I think. GL with the trubo

Make sure you get either a mig with gas (don't buy a gasless!) or something nicer. Don't be like me and regret getting a gassless mig!

Well, after reading the classes (Old Bridge Township Raceway Park), I'm probably not going to head down They got one class for all Mitsu's vs Subie's. That's it. So not only would I be rolling against the 9 and 10 second cars (though that's not too bad. bracket racing) I can't imagine getting too many pre-race runs in because that class is basically all the 1g's, 2g's etc. Pretty crappy, IMO.

No offense meant, Corey, but the Evo's don't really do all that much for me. So going down to see them, really doesn't appeal to me. I can T n T at my "local" track (2 hours away) for a whole lot cheaper.
