since the zune does not have an attatchment like the ipod to hook up to radios; could i just get an old set of junky headphones cut the head phones off of the wires and splice the wires into the radio harness then find a radio station like 1070am that doesn't have any static or sound and have the music play normal?

I'm not sure about all of that but you can get a regular plug-in radio transmitter that would allow you to play to the radio without monkeying with any wires...the only problem is that sometimes they work well and sometimes they don't get a good one and you will probably be fine but the more radio traffic in your area the crappier they work.

i have a belken and that's the issue i have. It's crappy and the batteries always die. So i was looking to something more permanent and a clean look when installed

***Guy, Have you hear of a little device that just about does it all (PSP2000)
works wonders for music, videos, photos, games and now skype the little sh*t even
makes calls over the skype network, hows that for portability!? :sneaky:

I have an XM radio that has a little clip for the antennae that makes the FM transmitter sound great that is built into the radio, plus it has an input for any 3.5MM plug as well.

There's about eight "stock" radios. If yours has an AUX socket on its face, you can run anything into it, from a computer to police scanner to iPod (etc.) or anything else with a headphone jack. Radio Shack and even most drugstores will have the patch cable.
If you don't have an AUX in, save up the hundred bucks for a radio that does. This $80 Wal*Mart special even takes SD cards, USB thumb drives, and plays MP3 CDs:
