compatible vehicles that will suffice for a transmission transplant?

Hey guys I need some timely help, I need a new transmission ASAP, and I am looking for leads to find compatible vehicles that will suffice for a transmission transplant.

What models and series of vehicles can be substituted for a F5MC1 transmission that mates with a 420A engine?

I have read the talons and perhaps the PT cruisers are a acceptable substitute, but I would like some advice on finding references to corroborate these comments.

Can someone that knows the compatibility please lead me in the right direction for the correct information on the subject, or post a list of compatible vehicles and corresponding model numbers for the compatible transmissions for the 420A please?

I would love to find a direct replacement F5MC1 out of 97 GS, but availability looks sparse at the moment. And I would like to explore options while I wait.

Did you try giving English racing a call? They are local to you and are very knowledgable on dsm transmissions but I can't say for sure how about the 420a plat form.
