I wanted to take a moment and point out the Featured Racer page here on DSMtuners:
DSMtuners Featured Racers - DSMtuners

Some of you already know about this page, some might not. We've built that page to highlight members in the DSM community who race their car in specific racing series like NASA Time Trials, NASA Pro Racing, SCCA Autocross, SCCA Rallycross, etc.

The idea behind it is to show you guys a few racers who are actually doing what we all dream of doing and how they're progressing. We want to give you some motivation to do it yourself and to show you what's involved. We also want to help give more exposure to these guys so that they have a better chance at receiving sponsorships to help keep them racing.

So take a minute to check the page out and read up on each driver. Check out their car setup, their blogs/write-ups, etc. And if you want to become a Featured Racer you'll find some instructions on how to do so on that page as well.

cool, but too bad i wouldn't be able to apply since this requisite is hard for an autox or rallyx racer:
"race day Blog write-ups, 4 paragraphs each with at least 5 photos"

autox/rallyx only have 3/4 laps (minutes) and i don't think i can write 4 paragraphs per event (creative writing isn't my forte).
do the 5 photos need to be of my car? if so, that can be hard w/o a camera friend running in a different heat. if photos can be of other cars, then no prob i can shoot myself =)

4 paragraphs isn't difficult when you're telling people about your whole race weekend. What did you have to do to prepare? What issues did you face? What was the course like? Could you have gone faster in certain sections? Were there any scary parts of the course? Tell us about how it felt to drive that course. What were the results? Were you faster than the competition? Who was your competition and how did they do? You could go on for 20 paragraphs if you really wanted to.

People just want to read about your whole race weekend and what you had to overcome to have a good event. It gets people inspired to try it themselves if they can learn what it takes to do what you're doing. Tell them a story that will give them a feel for what it's like to run the event that you just ran. That's the whole goal here. We want to get others out there doing this stuff. You can help us by sharing your experiences.

And as for photos, they don't necessarily have to be of your car in motion, though that would be awesome! You can snap some shots before and after your runs. Again, it's just to give everyone a feel for the event as if they were there with you.
