FIAV Bypass on a 2G

I am looking to bypass my fiav on my 2g. I have a 97 gsx with a 6bolt bloakc and a 2g head. All of the bypass threads that I have read have been about people with 1g tb's. I have a 2g tb. Will this make a difference?

The only bypass plates that most companies sell are for the 91-94 tb's. What can I do?

The plates will fit 1g or 2g tb's.

DSM THrottle Bodys

I e-mailed this guy awhile back when I was considering changing throttle bodies. Very helpful and knowledgable. Blockoff plates are about 1/2 down the page.

I wouldnt dick with those. I never had luck with it. Sam, at RRE has a great and tried and true free way to do this. You remove your TB, punch out that freeze plug on the end of the FIAV, take needle nose pliers and screw the valve ALL the way in. Loop the coolant lines on the thermo housing and cap off the TB ones. I did this to my car and I cant belive how well it works. My car idles dead on, all the time. Even with the 272s. I would look into that before buying a plate.
