The car won't be a daily driver by any means. I'm planning on gutting and caging it first off. It will be driven to the track and a bit of street usage on the weekends.I've been trying to decide myself between 10.5:1 or maybe even higher like 12:1. I would obviously have to pull the timing...
I am running Eagle rods and Wiseco 8.5:1 pistons on my GS-T. I'm not looking to do the same build again. I'm pretty set on aluminum rods as well as this car will not be a daily driver by any means. If I have to run race fuel the majority of the time then so be it. Also, when I say high boost I...
I'm planning on building a motor for another project of mine. It will be a weekend/track car. Looking to stay 2.0 and rev high. I have searched but not found much info on high compression pistons. I don't have E85 in my area so this will be a pump gas/race gas car. Low timing, high boost.I...
Oh if this were only half true. If the money is in your Paypal account they can reverse the charge and get their money back cleared or not. Its only safe if it is in your bank account. If you have credit cards linked to Paypal they can charge those for the amount being reversed. Paypal is dirty...
My 19cm2 T4 twin scroll housing build is mostly done and running. I've been working 6 days a week so I've had no time to finish things up and tune it. First impressions are great though. As soon as I get a chance to finish the conversion to speed density and get a new clutch master cylinder I...
The majority of them come with twin scroll housings stock. As for going t3 or t4 thats up to you and your goals. I myself just finished up my HX40 t4 19cm/2 build and am loving it. The top end pulls all the way to redline and just never stops.
I had my hood up once showing a friend my car out in town. A guy walks up and says "Turbo car isn't it?" I say "Yeah, sure is." Without skipping a beat he points at my 2g MAS and says "Looks like a good sized turbo you got on here, make sure you got enough back pressure so you don't blow the heads."
I have seen a couple of those already. The one this guy had fit the HX40 perfectly. It slid right over the compressor inlet, no coupler or clamps in between.
A little while back, someone had a velocity stack on a HX40 listed in the classified section. I PM'd him about it but he never answered me back. It fit perfectly on the turbo and I have not been able to find one like it anywhere online. I wish I had saved the picture... Does anyone know of ones...

After I get the car running again a smim will be my next upgrade. I still have not decided which to go with though. Looking at the JMF Drag.RPM wise I will probably be taking it to 8-8.5k tops.
I am currently putting together a twin scroll t4 6 blade HX40 build. I am trying to figure out what to do with the exhaust... After much searching of this forum and many others, including turbo diesel forums I am no closer to an answer. I need to know if the 4" v-band off the stock Holset...
I also just noticed if you buy a new DSMLink package from them they offer a very nice discount on the conversion service. Link really is worth every penny even if you buy an EPROM. The forum access is worth it by itself.
There is a wealth of information is the Holset threads:Holset Turbos Part 6Holset Results Complete Installed SystemsI myself am putting together a twin scroll t4 hx40 build at the moment.
These are not Hondas....we don't use stages. It always annoys me when I am at Autozone and some kid walks up out of the 5" tach and underglow isle to ask me what stage my car is.
You can pick up a good solid EPROM ECU for way less than $500.EPROM ECU from FFWDEPROM ECU from ECMLINKThere are also some EPROMS floating around on the bay.
DSMLink all the way with a good rebuilt ECU. There is a learning curve either way with AEM or DSMLink, its just not as steep with Link. Plus Link has an excellent user support forum to get you going and help you out if need be.
I would go with some quality gauges like Autometer or AEM. The Prosports are pretty decent as well it seems. No point in having a gauge that "might" be right.
262/272's will work perfectly fine for you but I would honestly go ahead and drop in 272/272's. Both are very streetable and will net you a better powerband.
Yeah that one looks pretty nice. Wish they had a picture of it on a 2g though. I had a friend roll a spyder without a bar. He made it. It took a while to recover though and he won't ride in a convertible anymore.
