Just put the egt probe in the downpipe after the o2 housing you will still get plenty accurate readings and if you decide to swap manifolds again, it will still work.

this exact thing happened to me when i first got my talon, for me it was that the SAFC that was spliced into the maf sensor wire right at the ecu as disconnected. so basically it acted like it had no maf sensor data at all.might check that.

The charcoal canister is there to prevent vapor lock that can be induced by adding fuel to the tank forcing vapor into the fuel lines. most people seem to just remove the hard lines all together, it would be prudent to not destroy the entire system.
