Thread revival Same problem but I noticed the bolt won't tighten so what can I do. All bolts are thre there's just a couple that I try to tighten them and they just keep,spinning and the exhaust leak is annoying. Any input will help thank you.

Alright so i swapped the engine on my 97 gsx auto and found a nasty transmission leak coming from inside the trans i unbolted the torque converter bolts and pressed in the torque converter i felt it move slightly inward. Could it be the torque converter isn't in all the way? I bolt the torque...

It wont hurt to double check. Hydraulic tensioner can go bad in 4 years.

I would recommend oem. Or you might get lucky in the classifieds thats were i found mine.

Check your timing marks. You might of jumped timing.

95-96 models you do have to remove the intake sproket and its pretty straight forward when you mount it. I would double check it. I had the same problem on my 95 gst and the sensor was broken because it was loose.

Have a pair of headlights for a 2ga dsm came out of a 95 talon if interested let me know asking $65 I can send pics

Check all your grounds, make sure your battery terminals are tight.

Do all your maitnanance to it first before you start moding it . Oil change, trans fluid, water pump with timing belt etc.

I used to have the same problem in my 95 gst. I changed the cam angle sensor and still nothing. I was getting spark but not all the way i had a short in the cam angle sensor. That fixed my problem.

Would you be willing to sell the 2gb eclipse bumper?

So i disconected the isc while it was idling and it didnt change the low idle or the studdering also i notice the turbo has quite some shaft play in and out and it smokes white from the tail pipe.

I need help doing a timing belt on. A 97 GSX i got all the tensioners in but i cant seem to get the timing correct after i tension it. Can someone come over and help a fellow DSMer.

Im currently doing a water pump on my gsx because it was leaking coolant and i was wondering what sealant you guys use for the water pump gasket.

Its really loud unless i press down with my hand it goes away. And all my bolts are torqued.

Just barely fixed this same problem. It was the t case. I replaced it with another one. Just be sure you get exactly the one you need. If its a auto and 97 make sure it comes from a auto 97-99. 95-96 wont work.
