I have a hx-35 7 blade. it came with the divided t3 housing. i also have a t3 manifold with a tial 38mm wastegate. but i also have the bep tdo5 housing with a tdo5 dnp manifold with a tial 44mm wastegate. which way should i go for a quicker spool? divided t3, or the bep tdo5?
I would vote go stock all the way. 14b, 450 injectors, maybe 3 inch exhaust. get some miles on it. find out how they opperate, and then start modding it.
yeah. believe it or not, that's the first place i checked. and every forum i've found about it was people talking about it being damn near impossible to track one down.
x1 same here. oil light flashed on and off, i sounded like a had a vibration from my tranny. and i pulled the oil pan and spun a bearing on the third cylinder
if there were no electrical problems i would price it for around 3800. hell i would price it for 3800 anyway. if noone picks it up, you'll be forced to keep it. and work the bugs out
my brother put a hx-35 on his laser a few months ago. he bought the bullseye power housing, it bolted right up to his stock manifold, the flapper was already welded shut so he could run his external gate. and the exhaust bolted right back on with no modification. we had to dent the waterpipe...
i had the stage 4 in my awd, i had to get the local clutch doctor to re pad the disc after a few months but it's worked great since.oh it costed me 40 dollars to repad it, so it was still a cheaper route.
Tell your friend not to use this stuff. I've never seen that blow off valve before. and there are so many out there that have proven themselves in the dsm community. and if he cant recirculate it, you'll probably have to re tune to open atmosphere.
I had a guy try to tell me there was no way my car is a awd tsi. because awd talon models were called "TSX".but he was driving a wrx, so i just went with it:hellyeah:
I used to run a safc2 on my 1g, with stock injectors, 255 pump, and a small 16 i had mine set on +14 across the board. but when i upgraged to a 20g and 550's i had to pull mine close to zero too. i was running a hacked 1g massair though. I wouldn't try to tune on a car without a wideband! :nono:
I have a silver box ECU+ that i recently inherited, anyone want to give me any bad news on this item before i wire it up? Everything i've read so far has been good reviews. overall i'm looking for a more detailed tune than my safc offered, while maintaining nice street manners!
does anyone recommend using the topline oil pump? I would imagine going back with the oem would be my best interest. just thought i might try to save a few bucks for once.
Been a dsm driver for years, always 1g's, always 5 speeds, always awd's. i'm currently driving a 90 talon tsi awd, 5 speed, running a 20g setup with supporting mods. Nothing crazy!
