I have a set of tires and rims that are on my FWD but they are 225/45/16 up front and 225/50/16 in the rear. According to a tire calculator, there is a 3.7% difference between the 2 different sizes. Can i compinsate the size with less air presure? I'd put the 225/50's in the rear and 225/45s...
no matter what, it's gonna bulge in the bumper. You can trim the side of the IC where it fold overs like the 2G guys do. This will buy about .30".....not much but all helps. The bulge if done correctly isn't noticable to a untrained eye. It should be there the bottom corner of the bumper...
you already know that I was running the MKIV supra IC w/ a PTE 56 at 23psi on pump daily driven so u ahve ur answer. I'm not sure how effecant the 54 trim is but I DO know the 56 and 50 are ver effecant on pump gas and higher boost. Did u ever get those 720's I told u to get? Or still...
it's a great upgrade for any turbo. These bad boys hold up to 450WHP on MKIV supras before they heatsoak. I've ran this SMIC w/ a 14b, B16g, TD05 20G, 18g and PTE 56 trim. Only time it heat soaked was w/ the 20g at 105* outside after 5 back to back pulls. I was running 23psi on pump daily on...
yah it was on a stock bottom motor. I wasn't able to get Cams in there yet. Lag wasn't bad at all. Build boost around 3500 and have full boost around 4300rpm. I wass till able to canyon carve w/ that beast. One friend has a PTE 50 trim and pushed around 39x AWHP w/ race gas ect ect. My...
this turbo doesn't really kick in til around 22-23psi. I think running 18 on this turbo is WAY to low. I was running 23psi on 91 piss octane with 720's, 2g mas and AFC. And still got 30MPG on the freeways and 26MPG on the streets :D
most muffler shops wil not make u a mandrel bend system. They are all old skool guys that think flowmaster is god. A 3" pressbent system is toughly equal to a 2.5" mandrel bent system. Just by a 3" turbo back off the shelf. I know RNR still has their specail goin for $500 for turbo back.
I was running 22-23 psi on 91 octane daily. Got that amount of # by around 42-4300RPM
It had a bad ass top end. Was very fun in the GST w/ it taller gears. Very efficant turbo, was also getting 28-30 MPG on the highways and aroundf 26MPG on the streets :thumb:
get some T-bolt clamps, they are bout $2.60 each from napa and worth every cent. Blowing the coupler off at night or going to work sucks. I've boosted 22-23psi daily on un-beaded and ghetto beaded pipes w/o a prob. I also use 2.5" striaght radator hose from napa, it's $15 per foot but it's...
