hey everybody. so im pretty new to the site. not so new to DSMs. ive owned a few of them and done a couple nt to turbo conversions on 1gs. im still a bit of a noob when it comes to them in turns of tuning I have really no idea about, and just how to find different things that are wrong with just alittle information that is givin. I do have my ASE cert that I got while I was in high school. so ive been around cars for a while now. and would love to know as much as possible about the DSMs.

Ive got a 96 eagle talon TSI AWD that ive had as a project for almost 2 yrs now. and just haven't had the time or the funds. just like every body else, priorities get set.

well im still in the process of rebuilding my 7 bolt and these are the things that are done so far.

-new rings (for the life of me I don't remember the name)
-ACL main and rod bearings
-balance shaft delete

planning on using a few of the parts that are still on the engine since the person I bought it from had it freshly rebuild with brand new parts for the most part until his high school son blew the head gasket, stock turbo, etc etc.

this is just a small short list of things I should be getting with in the next couple months to within this year

-ARP head and main studs
-Stainless valves
-BC TI springs and retainers
-HKS or BC 272 cams
-ARP exhaust and intake mani studs
-Big 16G or maybe 20G turbo
-better FMIC
-2.5" UICP and LICP
-2.5" to 3" header back exhaust
-lower coil overs
-new paint and freshin up the body back to close to factory showroom condition

theres plenty more on my list than this but this kinda gives you an idea.

well it was nice saying whats up to everybody.:hellyeah:

gonna be a pretty sick set up bro! sounds hella good. im in the process of dropping a new engine in mine as the fact of either blowing my t25 or head gasket LOL. ive looked around and found no help. do you have any idea about the vac lines and fuel lines on a 2g talon?

As in replacing them or like what are you talking about with the vac lines or fuel lines? I know they have steel breaded fuel lines that you can do as an upgrade for ## fuel. As for the vac lines i beleive theres a vac line delete just as for the 1gs.

Before i started my rebuild i thuaght there was a whole lot more wrong with my 7 bolt so i guess you can say i planned for the worse. But come to find it it was just a blown turbo with tons of shaft play and blown head gasket. So i got pretty lucky. But figured qhy not. If im goin to have the engine torn down then why not build it now.
