Well I am the new guy around and just fig I would stop in and introduce myself. I am Joseph, in the army stationed at fort Carson Colorado. I am a flight engineer on the ch-47 helicopter.I have never been in the DSM part of the car community.

Little back ground on my cars. I started with a 2002 Celica with a lotus swap.
I moved to an E36 BMW 328 and stroked the bottom end. I just traded that BMW for Zx6R and a 99 GS-t spyder while picking up a GSX shell for 200 that had a blown motor. I fig if I am going to be pulling a lot of the GST stuff out. I will do all the maintenance and the awd swap on it all at once.

Anyway I was just saying hello looking forward interacting with the dsm community.

Thanks bud, Your just saying that because I used the search did research and fully read over the rule prior to posting, Kidding but still thanks.

Welcome! Sounds like you know how to turn a wrench or two and you also seem to have some pretty good knowledge of modding cars in general. We need more guys like you around here! :hellyeah:

Thanks... I do know how to turn a wrench for sure, I work on helicopters and have a tool box strapped to my back for more then half the day. But I am going to be learning about this car as I go. Dug into the car already and did a compression test, leak test and a full tune up today. This guy who had the car was a tool. He said he was done messing with this car because it was getting the brick wall fuel cut that he has been dealing with for 2 months. A few quick checks and pulling the plugs seeing them gaped to .045 and Bosch plat was a good chuckle. NGKs gaped to .030 and new oil and all things runs like a champ now.

I have read that with the colder plugs and turbo upgrade would need a smaller gap of .028. I Might have to read more then... See learning already thanks bud!!

Where abouts in the springs... I would love to look at your ride and pick your Bain for a little while...

Welcome! Im also in the CSC, south end of town. Contractor working out of SAFB.

Post some pics!

Thanks, I have only been on here for a few days and have already wrote a mod plan and goal for what I want out to this car.... Like I said before I already have a parts car for my AWD swap over. Deff getting new drive shafts and a few other parts before I even start the conversion but is in the works. I am hoping by the end of summer I will have it completed.
