SarahsDumbDSM

Hi i'm just posting my introduction.

I have a 1992 Eclipse GSX. It has the 6bolt motor and 4bolt rear end.
It has 185,000 miles on the body.

My dad bought it in 1995 and has had it since. He liked it and built it in like 99.

It ran a best of 12.20@111mph back in 2000 which was pretty good back then.
He messed up the trans, and kept driving the car and then it also spun a bearing so he parted it out and it sat until 2007. I always really thought it was cool and sporty I always told him I wanted it so he kept it to rebuild some day. I just really liked how it looked..

The old set up it had was:
Stock Transmission, Not sure what clutch, tuned on an SFC, 16g Turbo, 2g maf, 2g exhaust manifold, stock exhaust with a 2.5" downpipe and a cutout, 550cc injectors. Basically a really old school setup LOL, but it ran good.

When I was like 12 I'd always sit in the seat just thinking how cool it was that it was basically my car, even though it had no motor and a blown transmission LOL.

Anyways in 2007 I asked my dad if we were going to get started on the car soon. He said maybe and that was it, I figured he was just putting it off and we werent going to do it. Then my Birthday came and instead of normal presents, there was a huge box from UPS and inside was a ton of parts. New pistons, rods, bearings, etc.

Anyways, we took the block to the machine shop and they said the block would need bored. So we returned the stock 1g pistons we had bought, and instead bought .20 over forged pistons. Still on 1g rods.

Then, due to the fact primarily while I was a freshman at highschool, there was a kid with a 1g turbo tsi.. I still wasnt quite smart with the dsm lingo and stuff. So I believed him when he said he had 300whp and all it had was a chip, intake, exhaust, blow off valve, and raised boost. It still felt fast than me. He was kind of a showboat though, and I wanted to be faster LOL.

Anyway, I got a lot of my stuff really cheap off some guy I found on Craigslist parting out his car. I bought his entire turbo setup, 20g, manifold with wastegate flange, turbosmart wastegate, o2 housing and I bought his cams and springs and retainers. I got everything for $500 and it was all in great shape and only had 5k miles on it and he had the receipts for everything dated a year before.

Then for my birthday in 2009 my dad sent the transmission to jacks transmissions for a rebuild.

Anyway, I had poor income only doing some house cleaning so it had been hard for me to afford my stuff much back during the time. When I got my job it helped a lot.

I actually had the car running in 2008 but it couldnt do much more than drive around the farm (during this whole time it had been stored at my grandparent's farm).

Anyway, when i turned 16 I really wanted it done cause I wanted my car. So I asked my grandparents for a loan(I never ask for money, EVER) and they had no problem with loaning me $800, which got me my DSMLink V3 and $100 I paid this guy to tune it, and then I used the rest for new wheel bearings and springs. I already have paid it back.

Anyways, previously I had just google searched when I had questions or used my haynes manual. I also had made friends with a couple DSM guys I randomly saw in public and talked to, and they'd give me advice when I needed it.

I was getting gas a couple days ago, and someone in a 2g stopped and talked to me and told me I should sign up on here.. I wish I had knew about this site all this time, would of saved me a lot of time/trouble!!

Anyway, i got carried away with my intro. I'm at my family easter right now and everyones watching movies and I'm bored LOL

Anyway, here's my car.
I already love this site!

Currently I'm trying to save $1000. My grandpa said he'll give me his 1997 Buick Riviera for $1000.. I really want a daily driver, he's saving it for me until I buy it cause I already use it whenever my eclipse is down LOL.

It's basically mine though, it doesn't look like much but its super comfortable and pretty quick with the 3.8 supercharged motor.

Wow the links appear to be the same car..HMMM..Maybe they stoled the pics to make a thread..Or it's possibly there are alot of cars with the same bodys..

But Since he is claiming its his car, I'm just going to go ahead and beleive him..Nice car, and it should be even nicer when your done with the rebuild..I'd go with getting the block bored and going with the .20 over pitons, but that's just me..

Well the bottom link kreez posted up has pics and the top pics is the same pic the op used. The other pics in the thread are of the same car with different wheels. Need proof, look at the drivers door. Theres a buckle/dent in it. Now 2 different cars aren't going to have that exact same damage. We need proof SarahsDumbDSM that this is your car. hubbazoot has been registered here since 09' and has multiple pics of the said car. And as you two live like half the country apart I am leaning as it's his car, and you just made a crap post.

This thread is a complete fail....an obvious attempt by someone who is starved for attention.

You can be as creative as you want in your description, but stealing photos of people's cars who do not belong to you and claiming them as your own is definitely fraudulent, and is quite frowned upon on this site.

Thread closed. Get a life- stop trying to steal others'.
