We'll about 5 months ago, i bought my first car ever, a 1995 eagle talon esi.
Since then i've put in a 10inch sub, 4 jvc 6 1/2 speakers and a jvc bluetooth deck.
Thats pretty much everything i know about cars.
I've been letting my older brother drive it since, i didn't have my L at the time and someone hit and run the passenger door.It has yet to been fixed, but i got a estimate of around 300 to fix it.
Also the front right cv joint? was replaced, iuno if that even makes sense, but the front right wheel flew off the car...but its fixed now

now that the car is back in my possession, i want to at least spice it up abit.
I was thinking
Tinting taillights black
tinting 3 windows(two small triangles and back)
a exhaust tip?(iuno anything about it, i just want it to sound better, i would love advice with this)
hid lights
and lowering springs, or coilovers(also have no clue about this so any advice would be great)
and finally i want to put some rims on it.

Soo i would love advice on putting a new exhaust, tip, or a full system?and rough estimates
and also advice on lowering my car.
thanks alot guys.

I've got a pretty nice audio system in my car, but rarely listen to it at it's potential, it just takes up space. As far as exhaust, on my RS I went to a friends shop and had a chambered exhaust (similiar to a flowmaster) put on to make it sound alittle lower pitch and alittle louder, it sounds perfect. Also had a chrome tip put on during that time so it would look alright. And on lowering, I used Tokico Illumina shock/spring combo on the RS, looks sweet. That is also what is on my Talon. It's the perfect amount of drop, don't go any lower or you'll need a new front bumper every year.

You won't get very much help here for the things your asking, because most the people here spend there money on performance items, and hate to see someone just doing appearance mods, instead of maintenance/performance upgrades, (mainly because of the cars we see with wings and body-kits). Just promise us that you won't mess with the interior/exterior, besides lowering, maybe some tasteful rims. Keep it stock and clean :hellyeah:

Yea no body kit or crazy spoilers, but I'm debating on removing the spoiler , or replacing it with a stock eclipse spoiler, I have a image on how I want it to look in my head , but I need some help about how to lower a car or atleast how much it would cost to get it all done up, and perfamce wise, I don't drive fast or feel the need to race ,but cold air intake would be my first step

Sounds like you are on the right track with not doing a kit or huge wind. But i agree that most people here will def give you more advice on performance than looks. Just being on here for the past couple weeks myself, I have definitly figured that one out LOL.
There are several different ranges for lowering your car but just remember you get what you pay for.
I actually just bought my suspension and went with Tanabe coilovers. Not the best but very good for the price. Good luck and keep updating!!

Welcome to the site! IMO, the first three things you should do to help your DSM look, sound and perform better are cold air intake, hi-flo catback exhuast and exhaust manifold(headers). You can shop around online for the cai, depending on what you like, it will cost you between $150-$250 shipped to your door. Installation is fairly simple. You can get a nice sounding cat-back exhaust at your local muffler shop for under $200, or spring for a bolt on kit. They can get a little pricey. As far as headers and down pipe go, you can go the cheap way, which would be ebay for around $60-$100 or go more flashy with Apexi, Obx or something similar. Again, it really boils down to how much money you want to spend. Just remember, you get what you pay for. I found a lot of really good deals on Craigslist. Also, try dsmtrader.com. I hope this helps. If you have questions, feel free to ask. :thumb:

Oh i almost forgot. In most cases, it's cheaper to just replace the whole door than getting body work. You should be able to find one for under $100, local or online.

goodluck

thanks alot for the advice,
we'll since i know shit all about cars, i rahter pay someone to do my intake and exhaust properly,
money isnt too much of an issue, but i dont want to spend a fortune.
I was thinking about going down to the local muffler place, and asking around.
and intake, is there any specific brand should i get?

seriously man intake is easy to put on(a newbie can do it),so is a full exhaust man.just need some jack stands and you will be good

Get your exhaust (welded) done by an experienced person.....Leaks are the devil, so I've heard. Local exhaust shops are great, and they KNOW what they are doing. Not to mention you are helping the local economy ;)

i agree nick but a full exhaust you dont have to weld.its all bolt on from the down pipe back. no need to be welded

I stand corrected, sorry Spoolin', so much for me giving advice after a few beers..."facepalm".....However, if you're not comfortable doing the work, it's never a bad idea to have someone with experience, tools, and wisdom to help you out, at a small fee, of course, but never-the-less at least you know it's done right......Or else ;) ...

Money back...

Having a full bolt-on exhaust does look a lot better than a welded exhaust. But how often are you looking under your car? If you have the proper tools, floor jack and jack stands, by all means, do the bolt on. It is fairly easy. Be sure you have a can of wd-40 handy to loosen those old rusted bolts. Kar Kare here in Knoxville charges $180 for a cat back exhaust install, that's parts and labor. They will weld it right behind your rear o2 sensor. As far as an air intake goes, I suggest getting one from AEM. Check out their website and find one for your model Talon. They have a nice one for around $250 that includes an air bypass valve and comes in many colors. Air intake is a very easy install. You can even search youtube for a "how to." Your car will sound very nice after you complete these two easy modifications.

Rock On! :hellyeah:
