hello guys I am new here and to the dsm world. My girlfriend and I now are the proud owners of a 97 gst. The ca is stock except for the cold air intake. Took it to my local mustang dyno and did a few pulls. So it put down 146.6 whp and 186 trq with a air fuel of 11.7 with what showed to be 13psi in the beginning to 12.2psi at the big end. with that said is this ok for a stocker and where do I start with the upgrades???

Other than that, preform maitence BEFORE upgrading. Unless the upgrade is part of the maitence. Boost leak testing is done with diagnosing problems, part of maitence and done anytime you mess with your intake post turbo.

Not bad numbers for a stocker. Yes the boost numbers are correct as the ECU always turns boost dwn a lil as rpm goes up. First things you can do is like stated above matinence and i would do intake and exhaust after. Good luck and welcome to the world of DSM's.

Welcome, also new to the community and find so far the best way to find proven methods toward maintaining, upgrading, and finding solutions. Don't be afraid to ask for help there's alot of it here. I also would go with exhaust, K&N air filter, fuel pump (walbro 255lph), and than you can get a manual boost controler and turn up the boost some. All this shouldn't cost much (under a G). You will notice a difference forsure. Good luck and keep us posted.

One more quick helpful hint, I also have a 2g dsm with the same turbo as you a t25 and a simple upgrade to a 14b from a 1g dsm for about $100 + install $200 and it will be a huge improvement. I run a 20g td06 and I still miss the spool of the 14b. Just a tip.

I would have to agree with 95_pimp about RRE they still are one of the best places that cater to our cars because Buscher kind of does but not really they are more towards the Evo's anymore, and check out the supporting vendors section also there are alot of choices, and welcome to the wonderful world of the DSM's and it can be a real love/hate realationship.

I also had this same thought. I'd had think at least stock maybe 160-170 would sound more reasonable ???
Get all your maintenance done first and then mod away !

It was on a mustang dyno. Everyone knows they read low.
