Hey guys, a while back i posted up with a focus that was sporting a holset turbo.

Since then i have blown a rod threw the block.....and it caught fire:notgood:

It's currently garaged until i decide which motor is going in next.....(###### a 383 chevy :D)

I got myself a VW GTI VR6 as a daily, but on monday i will be picking up my weekend warrior. It's 1995 Eagle Talon TSI. It's not AWD, but i don't want AWD either. I wanted FWD, don't ask and please don't bash. I like to be different.

Currently it has no mods but i have a FMIC kit on order already for it. :thumb:

The guy installed a HKS EVC Boost controller, and i have my own Autometer Boost guage, and AEM wideband to put on:hellyeah:

So i hope to get going on it. Within the next month ill be sporting a Big 16g.

I do have a question though for those who are versed. It has a 14b on it, and with a FMIC to couple with that, what kind of numbers can i see out of that setup till i can upgrade?

Also i have a greddy type s BOV coming too. Is there anyway to block off the intake so i dont have to recirculate it......i like people to know im boosted.

Welcome. When the time comes to upgrade look into a small 16g or Evo III instead of the big 16g. Good luck with your new project.

Edit: Hell, that was my own first post and I didn't even realize it! Welcome to myself as well!

ok will do...thanks for the advice boostedjay. and thanks novec as well.

Its weird how most will say that venting a bov i a 2g makes them run like crap, which im pretty sure it will, me on the other hand didn't make no difference venting or not, few of my friends have done it as well and they dnt really notice any difference. but im pretty sure it aint good to do it though. unless you get a GM MAS setup :thumb:

Even with the GM mas setup it still isn't right unless you have dsmlink. On a 1g the stock computer compensates for the additional air the BOV recalculates into the intake and I'm pretty sure 2gs are the same (correct me if I'm wrong). That being said i've had mine vented with the GM mas for a few years no without a problem but it still isn't right LOL.

If you get a hard intake pipe and put your air filter down in the bumper where the smic is, you can hear it just fine recirculated. Mine is loud as hell and you really would think it was vented. Just run more boost so it is louder when it blows off. :D

+1 on the EVOIII 16g if you plan on a 16g.

The 14b is good for about 36lb/min from the compressor map I have. Probably about 300 whp and mid/low 12s. A few are into the 11s on it.

Yup true LOL. i went back to recirculating though cus venting seems kinda ricer LOLLOL

Thanks for the info my1glaser.

Im really glad the info is flowing and the welcomes are here.

I'm just going to recirc it for ease and to hae to deal with less hassles.

Are there any other mods i should know about that won't break the bank that would be good?

i had a vented type RS on my focus. doesn't sound rice AT ALL.

I have a type s that i will be using.....does the same thing and looks way better at the same time.

thank boostedjay again for the help.

"I mean dnt get me wrong I love the way a vented BOV sounds, specially when you release boost right next to sum unsuspected driver with their windows down and see the surprised look on their face LOL"

haha i cant wait to see that happen
i have to register my gst then ill be able to do that but we getting off topic here so lets just try to help and not have a converstaion that has nothing to do with the subject

i got a whole kit on order already =]

FMIC piping and ordered a greddy type s.

Just ordered a new 02 housing, and 3 inch downpipe as well :D

Pretty excited to get this stuff on, two weeks from now a 16g!!!
