So how many of you had to send your Xbox out to be repaired or replaced? Mine died just before the Halo3 Release and I still don't have it back. MS has horrible customer service and so far just getting the Xbox to them to get repaired has been a nightmare. I hope getting it back from them goes a little smoother.

I have a warranty at best buy so ive just switched mine out at the store a bunch of times and since its still under man. warranty they didn't use my store warranty up. If i started getting freezing or clicking noises i just took it back. I've only got red rings of death once and that was with my core before they extended the warranty. I just got rid of it and got a premium. Anyway I've never heard of any problems with microsofts customer service. I mean its going to take a couple weeks, but what do you expect.

My cousin's went out last year and took him a month or so to get back. That's why I didn't go with a 360 was because of how often I always hear about it dying on people.

Mine died the day after I bought it. Luckily I purchased the extended 12 month warranty for $30 from GameStop. Like many others I learned the hard way that xbox's do not last back when the original came out. I went through about 10 of those but only had to pay for 2 thanks to that extended warranty. :thumb:

I have had two die from different big box stores. Still don't have either one back after 3 months. I hate Microsoft.

The problem isn't that microsoft has bad customer service the problem is that 1 of 3 xboxs fail, so they are desperately trying to come up with ways to fix the problem, catch up on demand for selling new systems, and repair or send new boxs to all the people who have had to send theirs in. I got my next box from best buy after the last 1 died and now have the hdmi hook up. I love it! I heard microsoft is supposed to be adding something new to the elite. Also if you are out of warranty and take your box apart there is supposed to be a way of fixing the box pretty easy and another way to prevent the red ring, but thats just what a customer told me while i was at work so I can't confirm it.

My disc drive went out right after halo 3 came out, sent it in and it only took a little over a week. It went smoothly, they sent me a box with packing included and shipping already paid. I packed it up drove it over to UPS and a week and a half later it showed back up at my door.

Had mine for 1.5 years, everything that could brake did.The tray stopped coming out, red lights, loud fans, freezing....i just sent it out and they BETTER not charge me!

Sent mine out 5 times to be fixed, all 5 times it was out and back within 5 business days, and cost me $0

My brother is a huge video game nut. He can't go 2 days without playing so of course he keeps buying new ones. Once the old ones come back from repair, he has 2 extras lined up for when the one he uses now dies. In fact, my dad and I started to play a few games with all the extra consoles kicking around.

Fun system but totally unreliable. Sound familiar? *cough* DSM *cough*

My nefew's 360 went out and it took them a month to send back and they didn't send the power cord with it so he's still waiting on that. You would think such a large and successful company would be able to provide better customer service.

I am on my 4th Repair! :notgood: Altho the big M, does send a nice coffin..
