GT4 Time Attack Challenge

At Tsukuba, fastest time gets bragging rights and honors. Rules are:

Street Tire Unlimited Class
-Sports and Standard tires only.
-You must post your time, weight, power, tires, and vehicle information when submitting a time.
-No Nitrous, driver's aids.
-Anything else is a go. Turbo, N/A, fwd, rwd, awd, anything. However, no racing cars, two wheels on the track at all times.

50K Challenge Class
-No limits on tires
-Maximum dollars spent is 50k including the price of the vehicle, rims, everything.
-No Nitrous, driver's aids.

I just happened to check this forum, and thought what the hell, I'll give it a try!

Then, I got to the track and looked at my previous practice times, and saw I had already ran a 49.xxx, and I was like... Yes! no work, just post up the time! hahaha I forgot though, that time was with supersoft slicks, so I had to head back out on track.

I tried a 550hp RX7, but I couldn't get it close to the EVO.

Everyone, to make things more interesting I'm going to lower the min. weight down to 1000kg's and up the displacement to 2.6L so it includes a few more cars and what not.

Over the weekend I got a 55.8** With an Evo8 RS. I'm still not happy with it.
Jeff91AWD, what is your setup for the RS? I remember we were pretty close last TA challenge we had. You must have nailed the setup on street tires.

I'll have to go look at the set-up, but I think I did dial it in on a previous challenge, and just worked off of that.

My memory card crashed a while back, but I seemed to have rebounded because I was reading though that TA challenge I created a while back and I gained a lot of time after that incident.
The settings I used to run R5 tires can't be applied to run the S3 tires. I just have too much understeer and it is killing me! I just wish my car would turn when I tell it to turn. My LSD settings are messed up, and I think that is what may be killing my times.
I'm most interested in your LSD settings. I feel I'm close with my suspension settings, but I know I am far off on the LSD and VCD settings. I don't care about your gear ratio either, I have that figured out.

I can't get any better that 55.xx with RS as well. I have been getting the car to rotate a bit by setting the initial torque, accel and decel on the front a bit low and about halfway initial, the decel to 70 to 75 so I can break hard and just a bit late into the corners and 60 to 65 on accel. It takes a bit to figure out but you'll get the feel of it after a while. I messed with the settings for a god long time to get to that point. I am getting the toe, and camber adjustments still too. Eh, it will get faster I am just hella rusty. Are the special models in the tuner shops off limits? I like the S2000 from one of them. There are no sponsor stickers or anything. I have been driving a few other models but I have gotten pretty fast in my little EVO using a little bit of left foot breaking. I will work on it some more tonight.

I changed everything from my last TA car to this car. I guess your settings wouldn't really help me much.

Big differences. You can get GT4 at the store for like $20.

Anybody still doing this? Shouldn't be to hard I just did a baseline with a full weight sti with 430 hp and I got a 1'03.749. I'll post a real time soon.
