Anyone try it out yet? I really like the the Tokyo extreme's arcade style compared to GT4 and wondered if this was any good.

Yeah, I've had it for awhile now. Since I got it from Japan and all. Anyways, yes it is a pretty fun game. I recomend getting it if you like racing games. Oh yeah, the game also has a 2ga GST Eclipse in it. I say get it.:thumb:

No idea it was available even. PS2? Compatible with driving force pro?

Oh I didnt really answer your question. Compared to GT4, lets just say its a different style of racing. GT4 is fun but Im more into the mountain racing and drifting. So if you like mt. racing and drifting, I would deffinitly get it. I like it alot more then GT4.

Wow your right, just checked ebgames and gamestop. It's out now for 19.99. I thought it was delayed til may but i guess not. Where did you read that it was only 14.99? I know where i'll be going right after work today :D

IGN is where I saw the 14.99 price mentioned.

It's really weird. I just went to ebgames, and they said they don't have it yet. They don't even know when they're gonna get it. Have any of you actually bought the U.S. game yet?

I played this game for about 5 minutes yesterday.

The graphics are better than the shots in the internet. Also it seems they did a very good job on presentation and options for it being a drift only game.

I love heavy metal it plays while previewing the next season or track.

Its deff. a good game for only $15 dollars. The graphics are to be expected though, from the rest of the txr series its the best yet. The one thing that personally erks me is the loading screens, there are just too manu in my opinion. I found mine at gamestop which was used and it had only been out for a week, but before I found that one there, I had already bought it online from amazon.com and got it within two days.

There may be a alot of loading screens but at least the load times aren't long.

^This is true. Have you played alot of it yet or just started it? I want to know when I can get some good cars like, the fd and the supra.

I just started it. I suck at drifting so it may take me a while to get anywhere.

This game is absolute garbage:barf: I'm an Initial D fan and i couldn't stand this game. I just bought it and played it for about 30 minutes and couldn't take it anymore. It feels like they tried to blend simulation and arcade together. The cars handle like they do in gran turismo (stiff). It shouldnt feel like that with a drifting game. The game feels sooo slow paced, the cars can't drift for crap, and wtf is wrong with the music. Don't get me wrong i love heavy metal and some rock, but the music in this game is just boring crap. When i play Initial D in the arcades, the game gets my adrenaline going. This game made me feel bored out of my mind. Sorry for the rant, what a waste of $20.

Well, I love it and I rock it. I am doing pretty good so far.

I just bought it last week-end and really like it. :thumb: The load screens suck but I can handle it. For the sound just turn it off and crank some music you like. I was surprised to see the Galant GR4 in the game. I like just running drift. Practicing and then when I have a handle on it I will go into the Conquest mode. Tried that for a bit and didn't do so well.
Over all good but I don't like the fact that it is titled a drift game but you have to race people normally once and awhile.

I still suck at this game. I can't drift worth a damn. ROFL

Just picked up the game, like it so far, but it doesnt have any Eclipses or Talons, but there is a Galant VR-4.
